Police have confirmed that one man died in a collision between a motorbike and a car near Melbourn on Saturday afternoon.
A black Kawasaki motorcycle ridden by a man in his 70s and a silver Citroen Xsara Picasso were involved in the accident, which happened at about 3.30pm at a roundabout on the A10 between Melbourn and Royston.
The rider of the motorcycle died at the scene.
The driver of the Picasso, a woman in her 40s, and her two young children who were also in the car, were taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge to be treated for minor injuries.
The road was closed in both directions in the aftermath of the collision, and Cambridgeshire police are keen to hear from anyone who saw the crash or either of the vehicles in the moments leading up to it.
Anyone with information should call the road policing unit on 101.
