Police called after reports of child on Royston train tracks

Police are appealing for witnesses after they were called to reports of a child on the train tracks in Royston on Friday evening.

British Transport Police were called to Ivy Farm foot crossing at about 8.30pm, but did not find anyone matching the description given.

A spokeswoman said: “Officers attended the scene and carried out a search but no one matching the description was found.”

Anyone with any information can call British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40 quoting reference number 582 of 28/08/15.
