Police are appealing for information following reports of possible hare coursers driving across fields around Royston in a dark red 4x4.

Officers reported a maroon Mitsubishi travelling through a field off Barkway Road between Royston and Barley at 1.58pm today.

A second report of a burgundy Suzuki or Mitsubishi driving through a farm field off Royston Road in Barley came in two minutes later from a member of the public. It was believed to be heading towards the east of the county.

Anyone with information should call police on 101.
