POLICE are appealing for witnesses following a car fire in Steeple Morden on Sunday night.

The blue Ford Sierra was found set alight in Russell Close, Steeple Morden, at around 10.40pm on Sunday. One fire crew from Royston attended the scene and put out the fire using hose reels. It is thought the fire was started deliberately.

The vehicle had been stolen from Mill Lane, Bassingbourn, at some time between 4pm and 10.30pm on Saturday.
