Police appeal for witnesses after B1042 crash

A MOTORCYCLIST was seriously injured in a collision which has closed the B1042 in both directions between Wimpole and Wrestlingworth.
Police are appealing for witnesses following the accident the accident, which happened just before 8am on Monday morning near the junction of the B1042 and Larkins Road, near Croydon.
A BMW 318 and a Moto Guzzi motorcycle collided, and the rider of the motorcycle was subsequently taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the car suffered minor injuries.
Police have closed the B1042 in both directions from the A1198 roundabout, and traffic was redirected through Shingay-cum-Wendy and the Mordens. The road reopened at about 12.45pm on Monday.

PC John Blood, who is investigating the incident, said: "I would like to speak to anyone who was travelling along this road who saw either vehicle.
"Any information could prove helpful to our investigation."
