Police are asking for help to trace a popular children’s author who has gone missing from her Royston home.
51-year-old Helen Bailey, author of the popular Electra Brown and Daisy Davenport series of books, was last seen in the town at around 2.45pm on Monday, April 11.
She is described as slim, with long black hair, but it is not known what she was wearing at the time she went missing.
It is believed she has her dog – a miniature Dachshund - with her.
Helen has connections to Kent, Northumbria and London.
Helen’s husband of 22 years, John Sinfield, drowned in 2011 during a holiday in Barbados.
A police spokesman said concern is growing among friends for her welfare and urged Helen to make contact to let officers know she is safe and well.
Anyone who sees Helen, or knows of her whereabouts should contact police on 101.
