A PENSIONER who waited more than three months for solar heating repairs finally has a fully functioning system - and an offer of compensation.
As reported in The Crow, William Dennis Parker, 76, of Flambards Close, Meldreth, who lives with his 100-year-old mother, called Poole-based company Ultimate Energy 58 times to try to get the system repaired.
An engineer visited and after letting the system run for a few days, Mr Parker says that it is now working correctly.
Mr Parker got a call from the company's managing director, Floyd Lewis, who offered him a £500 cheque as a "gesture of goodwill".
