A TEAM from Buntingford Town Council have taken part in an inter-parish quiz to raise money for charity. The quiz, which was organised by East Herts District Council chairman Cllr Derek Mayes, raised more than £450 in aid of his charity - the East Herts Fund for the Future, which provides money for community groups who may need financial help to ensure their survival. The event saw Buntingford mayor, Cllr Jean Cook, Cllr John Warren and town clerk Jill Jones, battle it out against 12 other teams across the district, including Buckland and Chipping. Cllr Mayes said: "It was a well-contested quiz and we're hoping to do it again next year. We'll see if parishes from the rest of the county would like to join in.
