PARENTS came to the rescue to help a school put on its Christmas production.
A flood in a storage area at Tannery Drift School, Royston, meant costumes and props due to be used in the play, Born in a Barn were badly damaged.
The school appealed to parents for assistance in replacing the costumes, and they came up trumps.
A spokesman for the school said: "The children looked wonderful. It was a brilliant performance and they all worked extremely hard to learn their words and the songs included in the play."
Roman Way School in Royston also staged a traditional nativity play this week.
