A pair of men were remanded on bail after being charged with theft from Tesco Extra in Royston.
Ionet Mitrea, 29, and Adrian-Nicolae Petre, 22, allegedly attempted to steal a suitcase and several bottles of alcohol from the Old North Road store.
Both men appeared at Hatfield Magistrates’ Court on Monday and have been remanded on bail to appear for trial at Stevenage Magistrates’ Court on October 20.
Mitrea, who is from Leigh in Wigan, and Petre, who is from Northampton, have both been banned from visiting the Tesco Extra ahead of the trial.
