PUPILS at Barkway School got their paint brushes out to raise money for Marie Curie.

Last October the youngsters planted daffodil bulbs in their own Mini Pots of Care and have now painted them. The children then took their pots home to give to somebody they care about in return for a small donation to Marie Curie Cancer Care.

Teaching assistant Paula Green said: "The children enjoyed painting the pots for their mums and people they care about."

Mini Pots of Care forms part of the Great Daffodil Appeal, the charity's flagship annual fundraising campaign. Every pound raised goes directly to the work of the Marie Curie Nurses.

Barkway School has raised £210 so far.
