One hurt in early-morning flat fire

ONE person was injured in a fire at a Royston flat early on Tuesday morn-ing.

Fire crews, from Royston, Baldock and Letchworth, and Bunt-ingford, were called to the blaze at Shakes-peare, at just after 2am on Tuesday.

Fire-fighters wearing breathing apparatus, and using a hose reel and jets, brought the fire under control.

It was put out by about 3am.

The cause of the fire is thought to be accidental. One person suffered minor injuries.
