FIONA Hill comfortably retained her Royston Heath seat in the North Herts district council elections.
Cllr Hill, of the Conservative party, polled 1,586 votes in Thursday's ballot, almost double the total of her nearest challenger, Liberal Democrat Robert May (850).
Robin King from the Labour and Co-Operative party was third in the poll with 331 votes, and the Green Party candidate Phil Oddy picked up 133.
Turn out was 70.35 per cent.
