THE NU nightclub in Royston is to face a review of its licence after an incident outside the premises.
The club has been closed on police orders after an application was upheld at North Herts Magistrates' Court.
The bench ruled that the club will remain closed until the result of a licence review hearing.
It is understood that police acted after a violent incident had taken place outside the club two weeks ago.
Police are expected to seek changes to the nightclub's licence when the review hearing comes before the North Herts District Council's licensing and appeals committee next week.
A notice placed outside the club said it was closed "due to unforeseen circumstances".
