A PLAQUE has been unveiled at Royston and District Museum in recognition of a donation from Les Smith. Mr Smith decided to make a donation to pay for a wheelchair ramp at the side of the museum in memory of his wife Eileen Smith, who died in September 2002. Mr Smith, a museum volunteer who has been responsible for taking pictures of many of the museum's photographic projects, helped Royston mayor Cllr Bill Prime unveil the plaque. The wheelchair ramp gives access to the first-floor of the museum.
