NEIL Guttridge has taken over as president of the Rotary Club of Royston.

He succeeded Howard Peacock, who described the past 12 months as a success.

His year included events such as the Royston Charity Kite Festival, Youth Makes Music, Youth Speaks and the new technology tournament.

Mr Guttridge said it has been a "tremendous year" during which Mr Peacock has shown "outstanding leadership".
