A NEW NHS dental surgery to cope with an extra 3,000 patients will be opening as planned in Buntingford next month. Dr Alexander Amery, of The Dentist, High Street, will be opening the additional surgery at 63 High Street on February 14. Dr Amery said: "Everything is going to plan. It will benefit the town because there is a chronic shortage of dental provision in the area. "A new dentist will also be joining us which will help relieve the enormous pressure on me because at the moment I treat 5,500 patients." Dr Amery is also looking into introducing Denplan, a monthly maintenance plan whereby people can pay for their treatment on a monthly basis.
