THE trial of a man accused of murdering traveller Fred Moss was due to start today (Thursday) at Northampton Crown Court. Christopher Nudds, 25, of Stocking Pelham, is accused of murdering the 21-year-old in November 2004. Mr Moss disappeared after visiting his aunt's home in Stansted, telling her he was going hare coursing in Cambridgeshire. Mr Moss' lurcher dog Nelly was found later that day wandering between Newton and Harston. His yellow Vauxhall van was found three days later in Steeple Morden. Despite a massive police search, Mr Moss' body was never found. The trial had been due to start on Monday, but was delayed by legal arguments.
