MURDER hunt detectives say they will not know until after the Easter Bank Holiday weekend whether the remains of a leg found on Tuesday are linked to three other body parts found during the past three weeks.
The latest find was close to a lay-by on the A10 at Puckeridge when the remains of a right leg were found in a bag.
The first body part, a left leg, was found on March 22 in a sports bag on farmland at the side of the A507 south of Cottered, followed by the discovery of a left forearm in Drovers Lane, Wheathampstead on March 29.
A head with two front upper teeth missing was then found close to a cemetery in Ashfordby, Leicestershire, on March 31. All three of these finds were linked by DNA tests.

Det Ch Insp Michael Hanlon (pictured) who is leading the hunt for the killer has not ruled out that the murdered man may have been an illegal immigrant, said this week: "In relation to the ongoing murder inquiry this body part has not yet been forensically linked although tests are being carried out to determine any link.
"Due to the rarity of such cases it is highly likely to belong to the same victim.
