BUDDING artists at Studlands Rise School in Royston have created a Mother's Day portrait gallery.
The Friends of Studlands Rise organised a competition which saw pupils from across the school produce portraits of their mums.
All the pictures were put on display in the gallery.
A spokesman for the school said: "The children also had to write a sentence saying why their mum is the best. The names of all the entrants were put into a prize draw, with the winner receiving a bouquet of flowers."
First name out of the hat was that of Year 1 pupil Dylan Penny. All the other children received certificates to give their mums.
The spokesman said: "This is the first time we have held this competition, but it has been such a success that we will certainly look to repeat it next year.
