STUDENTS from Bassingbourn Village College will be grilling people from the world of politics tomorrow (Friday).
A panel of politicians will include Cambridge MP David Howarth, Cambridgeshire South East MP Jim Paice, President of the Cambridge University Students Union Mark Ferguson and producer of the BBC's Politics Show East, Deborah McGurran.
The panel will face a series of tough questions covering a wide range of issues from a delegation of 80 students from Bassingbourn Village College and the City of Ely Community College.
Students will be given a taste of political debate and the event aims to help them develop an overview of what is being done to encourage more youngsters to engage in the democratic process.
An afternoon of workshops will be offered to the students, looking at youth charters and the relationship between young people and the Cambridgeshire County Council.
