NORTH East Herts MP Oliver Heald has welcomed the latest fall in unemployment figures in his constituency, and claimed Britain is “out of the danger zone” financially.
The Office of National Statistics published information just before Christmas, which revealed there were 1,233 people in North East Herts claiming unemployment benefit in November 2010 – a fall of 262 people from the same month last year.
This represents a rate of 2.6 per cent of the economically active population.
Mr Heald said: “I welcome this fall in unemployment. Britain is out of the danger zone and businesses are responding to the firm lead given by the Coalition. This is good news for local jobseekers.”
