Road works have started on a section of highway which has been the scene of several accidents in the last year.
Work has been carried out on the A507 between the Buntingford by-pass and Buttermilk Grange, with major re-patching of the section through Cottered provisionally programmed for some time between now and October this year. Surface dressing will follow next spring.
North East Herts MP Sir Oliver Heald has been campaigning for action to be taken to make the road safer.
He said “I am delighted to hear that some work has been undertaken on the A507 and further re-patching will be is to take place. I am continuing to press on the issue of better safety signage along this road.”
