MP ANDREW Lansley is calling for faster broadband access across South Cambridgeshire.
Many villages in the district suffer from slow broadband due to the quality of phone lines.
Mr Lansley said: ""I am, following contact with BT and many of my constituents, very concerned that Cambridgeshire does not receive high quality, high speed broadband.
"In South Cambridgeshire many receive Broadband connection speeds which are significantly slower than the Governments minimum speed recommendation of 2MBps.
"In predominantly rural areas like South Cambridgeshire, many families and businesses are reliant on a high quality connection and it is clear that the Government and BT are not doing enough to ensure that these needs are met," he said.
Mr Lansley has promised to "remain in contact" with BT to try and resolve the situation.
