A DRIVER had to be taken to hospital after his car collided with a telegraph pole near Bassingbourn this morning (Wednesday May 28).
Two fire crews, one from Royston and one from Gamlingay, were called to the scene, near Low Farm on Brook Road, Bassingbourn, at 5.07am. An ambulance from Cambridge also attended.
Fire fighters assisted the ambulance crew in freeing the driver of the vehicle, an 18-year old male, and made the car and the scene safe.
The man was taken to Lister hospital in Stevenage.
