A SECOND wave of snow has struck Crow Country, causing fresh disruption to the areas roads today (Thursday).

A host of schools are also closed for the second time in a week, following approximately 7cm of snow overnight.

There were long delays on the A505 this morning between Thriplow and Royston after a lorry jack-knifed.

Meanwhile, train services between Royston and London Kings Cross are severely disrupted after a train hit overhead power lines yesterday. There is now a service every 30 minutes between Cambridge and Letchworth, stopping at all station. A shuttle bus service is in place between Letchworth, Hitchin, and Stevenage.
