ADDITIONAL parking restrictions could be introduced in response to residents' concerns.

Hertfordshire Highways is looking at extending double-yellow lines in York Way, Royston - but the proposals will not be given the go-ahead until residents in the area have been consulted.

Cllr Stuart Pile, the county council's executive member for highways, transport and rural affairs, said: "Clearly, residents are concerned about traffic, parking and visibility problems in York Way.

"We hope we will be able to put effective measures in place."

Engineers are drawing up plans which would see the extension of double-yellow lines along York Way to include the junctions with Minster Road, Newark Close, Beverly Close and Grantham Close.
