ADDITIONAL parking restrictions could be introduced in response to residents' concerns.

Hertfordshire Highways is looking at extending double-yellow lines in York Way, Royston - but the proposals will not be given the go-ahead until residents in the area have been consulted.

Cllr Stuart Pile, the county council's executive member for highways, transport and rural affairs, said: "Clearly, residents are concerned about traffic, parking and visibility problems in York Way.

"We hope we will be able to put effective measures in place."
