POLICE used a helicopter and microphone to find a missing elderly lady on Friday night.
The 78-year-old went missing from the Mary Barfield House care home in Burns Road, with police alerted by a worried family member at 8.08pm.
A helicopter was immediately sent out and a microphone sounded information to residents about what to look out for.
The woman, who suffered from dementia, was found safe and well in Green Street, at 8.55pm.
A police spokesperson said: “We got a call from a member of the public saying they had seen a woman after they had heard the announcement from the microphone.”
