ANOTHER runaway feline has returned to its owners, eight months after going missing.

Pam Dajda, of Sun Hill, Royston, had given up hope of seeing her 16-year old cat, Smidge, again after he disappeared last October.

But this week she was reunited with her pet after he was spotted by a neighbour.

Mrs Dajda said: "He disappeared in that bitterly cold weather last October, we thought we'd seen the last of him. Although he's very timid he's also a friendly cat who loves company. He's always been known as the neighbourhood cat, so was greatly missed by a lot of people.

"He's now back with us, looking remarkably well, but very confused," she said.

Last month, we reported on how five year old cat Pepsi turned up at Woodgreen Animal Shelter, Heydon, 16 months after disappearing.

Smidge has already used up several of his nine lives, and has a paralysed tail after breaking his pelvis in a road accident.

Mrs Dadja added: "Obviously a kind person has been looking after him and we'd like to get in touch to thank them. We'd also be interested in finding out more about Smidge's adventures over the last eight months."

Anyone who knows what the cat has been up to can contact Mrs Dajda on 07977 355421.
