For the past five weeks, students from Meridian have been attending a course to encourage fitness, self-esteem, teamwork and resilience.

They have all grown and developed their skills throughout the Motiv8 project and were all commended at a presentation assembly at the end of term.

The funding for the project came from Dave “Aussie” Ayliffe at Royston Sport Club gym Fighting Fit UK, head of Year 9 at Meridian Afser Choudhury, and Royston East and Ermine county councillor Fiona Hill.

All were extremely proud of the young people for showing determination and enthusiasm, resulting in impressive development in all target areas.

To everyone who made it possible, Mr Choudhury said: “I want to say a massive thank you in helping our young students on their fitness, self-esteem, discipline and teamwork. I have seen a huge difference in their attitude and students have shown more resilience in school.”
