Meldreth will host another summer fete at the church next weekend and members of the community are invited to go along.

The Meldreth Church Fete – in North End – is back with live music, games for all, an auction and more to raise money for the church.

Rev Lizzie Shipp said: “We are delighted that Meldreth Church Fete will be taking place again this year. The fete will have a variety of people playing music and selling things on different stalls. The music will be played by a local jazz band.

“We are very pleased that so many local businesses are supporting the event, which will help to make Meldreth Church Fete a showcase of the best of Meldreth as a community.”

One prize on the auction is a plane flight for two, and you chose where you want to go – it could be to the Norfolk Coast or even just over your own house.

There will be two tugs of war, one at 1pm with South Cambs MP Heidi Allen, and another at 3pm which is open to all the family. The event on Saturday, June 16, starts at 12pm.
