Gleaming custom and classic motorbikes proved a high-octane attraction which drew around 1,500 fans to take in the impressive spectacle at the annual Royston and District Motorcycle Club Show.
This year’s the event was held in a new venue, at the Eternit Sports & Social Club in Meldreth, and raised more than £8,500 for charity.
Good causes to benefit include Meldreth Manor School, East Anglian Air Ambulance and the SERV Blood Runner volunteers who provide a vital out-of-hours service to deliver blood supplies, breast milk and other medical transport support needs free of charge to the NHS.
The show on Wednesday last week also attracted 35 trade stands and an East Anglian Air Ambulance chopper dropped in to thrill the crowds.
Mark Coningsby, one of the show’s organisers, said: “Despite the forecast being against us and moving the show to a new venue, it was a great success.
