Melbourn Village College students sweep the board with outstanding GCSE results

Pupils at Melbourn Village College excelled in maths and science, GCSE results published this morning show.

More than 90 per cent of students got an A* to C in all three science disciplines and more than 75 per cent got an A* to C in maths.

Principal Simon Holmes was proud as punch of his all-star students.

He said: “Once again Melbourn Village College students have made excellent progress during their time with us and there are some outstanding individual successes. I am also delighted to see particularly strong results coming once again from the maths and science departments. We wish all our students well as they embark on the next stage in their education.”

Abi Jones, Alice McMorran and Jessica Peacock got A*s and As across the board.

The follow pupils all got three A* or As in science: Natalie Bartholomew, Joshua Bates, Eleanor Ferrie, Elise Harbud, Abi Jones, Alice McMorran, Jessica Peacock, Anna Thake and Hope Winter.

A special mention also goes to Reece Andrade, Darienne Chesham, Kelly Condra, Jake Hazelwood, Abi Jones, Jack Morley, Jessica Peacock, Jonathon Popat, Charlotte Stewart, who all made five levels of progress in maths.

Abi Jones, Mary Topalian and Torrin Wilkins also made five levels of progress in English.
