A MELBOURN restaurant was literally in the pink last week when it held a charity lunch.
The Pink Geranium was the setting for a Pink Rose Lunch, when 35 guests donned pink garments and were treated to a three-course meal and champagne.
Money raised at the event will go to the Cambridge Research Breast Cancer Unit as part of the Addenbrooke's Charitable trust (ACT), which supports and promotes the work of the hospitals for the benefit of patients and staff, by raising extra funds to enhance services, facilities and research.
Organiser Erica Mansfield said: "We had an excellent day, and the lunch was lovely.
"We're still counting all the money that came in.
"Tickets were £30, so we know we have at least £350, and we also have a lot of donations for people who wanted to be there but couldn't make it."
The cash will help buy new high-tech equipment, pay for additional staff, and go towards research to help improve the understanding of conditions and find possible cures.
