A photographer from Melbourn is excited to release his latest line of greetings cards, which sees the picturesque village of Meldreth put under the spotlight.

Included in the selection of views produced by Clive Porter are historic re-productions of photos of the Cambridgeshire village that he stumbled across while browsing through the collection at Royston Museum.

The cards are now on sale at Fieldgate Nurseries farm shop at £2 each.

Clive said: “The idea behind the greetings cards is to promote the area. I have previously created lines of postcards for the likes of Royston, Letchworth and other Cambridgeshire villages. These cards get sent all over the world. People have told me that they have sent them to Australia and Canada before.”

The current line of images include one of a house being re-thatched, Holy Trinity Church and the British Queen pub.
