ROYSTON's mayor Cllr Paul Grimes hopes to raise about £2,000 from his charity golf day on Friday.
Cllr Grimes took to the course at Barkway Park Golf Club along with a number of teams which were sponsoring the event.
"The weather held out and everyone had a good day," said Cllr Grimes.
Cllr Grimes's mayoral charity is the Garden House Hospice in Letchworth.
Cllr Grimes did not admit to his own prowess around the course - but he did say previously that he seemed to have some difficulty reaching the green.
