Residents at a Barley care home have been showing off their moves at a silent disco.
Staff at Margaret House Care Home in Barley held what they believe was the first silent disco in the UK that is especially for older people and those living with dementia.
They are working with the team at Groove Silent Disco who are being trained by Move and Groove, an Australian company which provides these specialist music sessions.
Activities co-ordinator Lea-Ann Smith said: “It was fantastic how people got engaged when they heard the music for themselves through the headphones – and we could even include care home residents who couldn’t leave their rooms.
“We are thrilled that Groove has chosen Margaret House as the home they are going to trial the new sessions with and can’t wait for them to come back again.”
