A 79-YEAR old man is in a serious condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Royston yesterday afternoon (Thursday).
The pensioner was struck by a silver Toyota 4x4 Rav in Melbourn Street at around 4.25pm.
He suffered serious injuries and was taken to Lister Hospital in Stevenage. The driver was uninjured.
Anyone who may have witnessed the collision is urged to call Hertfordshire Police on 0845 333 00222 and quote reference number URN 706/19.
