The road was closed between the Royston Tesco and the Little Chef roundabouts following the incident, which took place at about 12.17pm.
Police were called to the scene, while the firefighters and an ambulance also attended. The air ambulance was called in but not required.
It is believed that the incident involved a collision between two lorries.
