A MAN struck by a train on railway tracks between Royston and Meldreth Station has been named.
Jason Ralph Smith, 33, from Norfolk, was hit by the train heading towards Cambridge on July 4, after he crossed onto the track near Melbourn at about 7am.
The incident caused services running between Royston and Cambridge to be cancelled.
They were resumed after two hours, but a bus service was introduced while the track was closed.
An inquest into the man's death has been opened and adjourned at Cambridge Coroner's Court.
