FIRE crews had to use cutting equipment to free a man from a digger which overturned near Orwell on Wednesday morning.
A crew from Cambridge together with a rescue vehicle attended the scene, on Cambridge Road, Orwell, at about 7.45am.
They found a digger over-turned in a ditch, with a man trapped inside.
Fire fighters freed the man using cutting equipment. He was taken by ambulance to Addenbrooke's Hospital.
