Man collapses and dies in supermarket car park

A MAN collapsed and died in a supermarket car park on Saturday.

The man suffered a cardiac arrest near the car park of Morrisons, in Princes Mews, Royston, at about 7pm on Saturday.

Two land ambulances, two police cars and an air ambulance were called to the supermarket, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service: “We were called just after 7.00pm on Saturday evening.

“A man in his 60s had collapsed. We sent two community first responders, a paramedic officer and a hazardous area response team. We had a rapid response vehicle, land ambulance and air ambulance.

“He was taken by land ambulance to Addenbrooke’s hospital, but was believed to have died at the scene.”
