POLICE have arrested a man in connection with a robbery on a security van in Buntingford which took place last month.
The incident occurred outside Barclays bank in Buntingford High Street on September 6. Two men approached the security van driver and took the cash box, which had just been collected from the bank.
They then made off in a silver Vauxhall Astra, colliding with another car in the process.
A police spokesman said: "The cash box contained a substantial amount of money."
A 19-year old from Hackney was arrested last Thursday on suspicion of robbery.
