Richard Howes, 57, of Ermine Way, Arring-ton, was found dead at his home by police on September 11.
A spokesman for Cambridgeshire Coroner's office con-firmed that the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head.
The inquest has been opened and ad-journed.
