LOWER King Street in Royston will be closed for up to six weeks while drainage work is carried out.

Work began earlier today, and is set to continue until April 2, meaning the road is closed from the junction with Baldock Street up to Kneesworth Street. Carriageway repairs will also be carried out.

A signed diversion has been put in place, but the road works are likely to cause longer queuing in Baldock Street and Melbourn Street.
