Students Marie Clayden (nee Allen) and Mark Radford got in touch on the social networking website Facebook - and are now organising a 20-year reunion for those who left in 1988.
Marie said: "I still had our school group photo the year we left. I eventually got around to putting the photo on my profile and 'tagged' everyone on it.
"Within days I was then in touch with a large crowd from school who I hadn't seen in 20 years.
"We know that there are plenty of people still about who went to Bassingbourn and left in that year," she said.
The reunion will be taking place at the Pear Tree pub in Bassingbourn, on Friday October 10 at 6pm.
