THE Crow-sponsored Lights of Love ceremony for the Isabel Hospice has helped raise more than £40,000 for the charity.

The ceremony which took place in December at the Manor House in Buntingford was one of a number of Lights of Love ceremonies across east Hertfordshire.

More than 3,000 loved ones were remembered with lights on the trees and a special service.

Pam Shepherd of Isabel Hospice said: "Every one who donated a light in memory of someone has contributed to this fantastic total.

"We are extremely grateful to everyone involved, including all the organisers and speakers at each ceremony.

"Year on year, more people are choosing this as a way of remembering someone dear to them, whether a friend or a member of their family who was not with them at Christmas.

"Every donation is welcomed with thanks.
