ANIMAL-lovers in Royston who would like to help raise money for an animal shelter can join a new fund-raising group.
The group will be raising money for the Wood Green Animal Shelter in Heydon which nearly closed in 2004.
The group has been set up by Addo Addison, who encouraged his employers, Tesco, to introduce a pet food donation bin at the store.
Linda Arnold, community fund-raiser for Wood Green Animal Shelters, said: "We currently have 26 supporter groups around the South East of England who raise valuable funds. We are delighted that a new group is to be set up in and around the Royston area."
If anyone would like to join the Royston and District supporters group or would like further information, call Linda Arnold on 08701 90 40 90.
