JUMPING Jacks pre-school in Cottered has received an excellent Ofsted report which recognises quality care.

Leadership, the quality of teaching, and partnerships with parents were all considered to be of exceptionally high quality.

Pre-school owner Lynne Premadasa said: "It is fabulous that the dedication and exemplary standards of care provided by my team have been acknowledged by Ofsted.

"I have always known they were outstanding, but it is great to find that Ofsted agree."

The main pre-school has been open since 1997 but because of high demand, Lisa Tuohy has opened an afternoon session.

Teamwork, attention to detail and a pro-active environment are what she believes are the key to success.

She said: "In this unique session children are often able to learn on a one-to-one basis as well as plenty of time for play with their friends."

Ofsted reported: "The children thrive because staff follow highly effective procedures and practices which meet the children's physical, nutritional and health needs."

The pre-school is currently focusing on road safety.
