Thieves made off with jewellery after smashing through the rear window of a house in Royston yesterday.

The burglary happened between 11.15am and 2.40pm in Newman Avenue, and offenders left in an unknown direction.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting crime reference G4/16/310.
